5 Ways to Restore, Replenish and Rejuvenate this Spring

With the days getting longer and the temperature slowly rising, spring is the perfect time for renewal and change. Not sure where to begin? Here is a list of my favourite tips that will help you restore, replenish and rejuvenate in no time.

  1. Clear your space

This is guaranteed to give you an immediate boost. I started the process by giving away bags of unused clothes to a local charity. Consider getting rid of any insignificant knick knacks, old receipts you no longer need, or you may even find expired foods in your pantry. You can even move things around in your home, anything that helps you create more space.

  1. Declutter your emotions

This is a nice way to build up on the first point. What emotions have you been holding on to that no longer serve you? Are you holding any grudges? Still waiting for someone’s approval? Are you participating, directly or indirectly, in other people’s drama? Time to let go!

  1. Move

We might not literally hibernate like other mammals but we do tend to slow down in the winter. Spring is great time to awaken the body by introducing an exercise routine. If you regularly exercise, why not spice things up with new moves or if you’re feeling adventurous, a completely new activity?

  1. Connect

The cold weather makes many of us a little bit less social (hello weekend Netflix binges). Now that the days are longer, why not make a conscious effort to spend quality time with family and friends? If like me, many of your friends live away from you, schedule a Skype call. This is the perfect time to nurture those precious relationships.

  1. Unplug

A toughie, I know. And yet, unplugging from social media and your phone for a day will do you a world of good! You can’t truly be in the moment, enjoying what’s right in front of you if you’re constantly checking for notifications. If a day seems to long start with a couple of hours 🙂
